Acceptance of Risk:

As with all adventurous sports, riding motorcycles has some inherent risks that have the potential to lead to injury or in the very worst-case death. Customers booking a course with Sweet Lamb DRE Academy accept these risks and will comply with all safety requirements as required by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy Instructors and Staff.

Safety regulations:

The very nature of Off-Road Motorcycle activities presents many and varied challenges because of the terrain involved where there are various hazards and risks to manage. Course Instructors will make every effort to manage these risks and hazards to ensure training is provided in a safe manner minimising these risks where possible.

Customers participating in courses are expected to comply with all safety guidance and instructions given by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy Staff, failure to do so may result in the customer being removed from the course. If, in an instructor’s opinion, it is considered unsafe for a customer to continue the course, Sweet Lamb DRE Academy Instructors reserve the right to transfer that customer to an alternative group or course more appropriate to the customers’ ability level.

Code of conduct

Sweet Lamb DRE Academy place the safety and enjoyment of all customers as their prime concern and will endeavour to ensure all customers are treated with respect and are given every opportunity to advance their skills whilst attending the course. Customers have a responsibility to assist in mitigation the risks involved and will use best endeavours to ensure they do not place themselves or others at risk. Customers will wear all the required safety equipment whilst riding motorcycles on site and under no circumstances are customers to ride unsupervised without the supervision of Sweet Lamb DRE Academy staff.

Sweet Lamb DRE Academy reserves the right to remove customers from a course or event who exhibit disruptive or dangerous behaviour that risks their own safety or the safety or enjoyment of other customers and/or staff. Any damage caused to property or equipment as a result of unruly behaviour will be charged to the customer.

Eligibility:

Customers must be 18 years of age or older and hold a minimum of a valid United Kingdom A2 class motorcycle licence or international equivalent. Prior to participating on the course customers will be required to provide evidence of their Driving Licence to Sweet Lamb DRE Academy Staff.

Fitness to Participate:

Riding motorcycles can be a physically demanding pursuit, whilst Instructors will ensure there is plenty of opportunity for breaks it is the customers responsibility to ensure they notify staff if at any time they feel unwell or unable to continue. Whilst all Sweet Lamb DRE Academy instructors are First Aid Trained and will respond if the situation requires it, it is the customers responsibility to manage any health issues they may have. Customers will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to the start of the course.

Bookings and payments:

All bookings are taken on the basis that the customer will at all times: - Observe and fully comply with the Safety Regulations set by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy. - Comply with the Code of Conduct and any other instructions given by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy staff. Failure to observe these rules may lead to exclusion from the course and in this event no refund will be issued.

All enquiries for course booking are to be made via the Sweet Lamb DRE Academy Web Site https://dre-adventure.co.uk and are on a first-come first-served basis.

While every effort will be made to provide customers with the Bike of their choice, Sweet Lamb DRE Academy allocate bikes on a first come first served basis, however every effort will be made to provide customers the opportunity to ride both models during the course.

Customers will receive a confirmation email registering their interest in booking a course, this email will include the booking details. Until payment is received and confirmed by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy no booking is confirmed.

Payments are to be made by BACS / PAYPAL to the Sweet Lamb DRE Academy accounts detailed in the email.

Sweet Lamb DRE Academy will send out an e mail confirmation to the customer within 48 Hours after the booking and payment process is complete.

The email will include the joining instructions for the course together with a copy of these terms and conditions, a copy of the health questionnaire (required by our Insurance) and details of suitable protective clothing required for the course. Also included will be directions to our Training Centre and a list of local accommodation.

Further information will be sent to the customer by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy one month in advance of the course.

Cancellation of booking by the customer:

Requests for cancellations must be in writing and sent by either email or post.

Upon receipt of a request for cancellation, Sweet Lamb DRE Academy will acknowledge the request for cancellation within 5 Working days. All bookings remain valid until the cancellation has been confirmed by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy.

Cancellation Charges:

Cancellation received 29 Days or more days prior to the event, the customer will be charged 20% of the course cost as an administration / overhead fee.

Cancellations received up to and including 28 days prior to the event start date, the fee is not refundable or transferable. If during the course a customer is unable to continue with training, for whatever reason, no refund will be given.

Change or Transfer of the booking by the customer:

Requests for changes to bookings must be made in writing and sent by either post or email. On receipt of either a letter or email requesting a change to the booking, Sweet Lamb DRE Academy will acknowledge any changes within 5 days. Until the customer has received this confirmation the original booking remains valid.

Changes or Transfer of bookings are at the organisers Sweet Lamb DRE Academy’s discretion. Requests will only be considered if made 29 or more days prior to the course start. No changes can be made to bookings up to and including 28 days prior to the course start date.

While every effort will be made to accommodate a customer’s request for a change, we cannot guarantee to make these changes. Customers may only transfer a course date once, and it must be completed within 12 months of the original course date. In the event of a customer transferring a course date the customer will be liable for any increases in course cost.

Due to the high demand for courses Sweet Lamb DRE Academy cannot be held responsible for the availability of courses should customers wish to transfer dates. Charges for the Transfer of a booking by the customer to an alternative course will be charged at 12% of the course cost to cover administration and overheads.

Cancellation of a course by Sweet Lamb DRE Academy:

Sweet Lamb DRE Academy reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases the customers booked on this course will be offered an alternative course, or a refund of all monies paid. Sweet Lamb DRE Academy will notify the customer by phone, email or via post, at least 14 days prior to the course start date.

Insurance:

While participating on a Sweet Lamb DRE Academy event customers are covered by third party limited liability road risk insurance only and may wish to consider purchasing Individual Personal Accident Insurance before attending the course, you may also wish to purchase additional insurance to cover the cost of cancellation in the event this becomes necessary.

Privacy Policy:

To help us deliver the best possible experience to our riders we keep your information on file.

This information is used by us to process your order from the time of purchase through to delivery. We may also use your information to contact you with information that may be relevant to your experience.

We respect your privacy. Your information will never be sold to a third party.

Whether or not you have placed an order with us, you have the right to decide how we handle your information. This includes but is not limited to:

  • The right to be request what personal information we hold for you.
  • The right to rectify this information. e.g. Update your contact details.
  • The right to have your information removed from our systems.
  • The right to restrict processing of your information.

In the event a customer feels that the staff at Sweet Lamb DRE Academy have not met their expectations or obligations the customer should in the first instance should bring their concerns to the attention of the Senior Instructor present on site. Should the customer not be satisfied with the resolution proposed a formal complaint should be made in writing to: The Directors, Adventure Bike Experience Ltd at the above address.
